GOOD
STORIES START WITH CURIOSITY

I've always been interested in people, stories, and the way a simple idea can turn into something meaningful.

My creative journey began around 2008–2009, with photography and filmmaking in Baghdad. What started as a personal curiosity gradually became a career that allowed me to explore different ways of telling stories.

Over the years, I've worked on short films, documentaries, television commercials, music videos, social campaigns, and digital content. Each project has introduced me to new people, different perspectives, and something new to learn.

How SHIRAA STUDIO Began

In 2012, Shiraa studio started as a shared idea between a small group of friends and creative minds: Ayoub, Mohammed, Osama, Fox, and myself.

We came together with an interest in media, creativity, and the possibilities of building something of our own. Like many early ventures, our paths eventually took different directions. By 2014, I continued the journey independently, keeping Shaf Media moving forward, one project at a time.

Those years taught me a great deal not only about filmmaking and production, but also about responsibility, working with clients, making decisions, and adapting to change.

The Way I See Creativity

My background in cinema has influenced the way I approach every project.

I believe a good idea matters more than the equipment used to produce it. Cameras, lighting, and technology are important tools, but they should always serve the story, not become the story.

For me, the most interesting part of any project is understanding people, asking the right questions, and finding a way to communicate something that feels genuine.

And while I’ve spent many years leading Shiraa Studio independently, I’ve always believed that good creative work grows through collaboration.

A New Chapter

After a long journey, Shiraa Studio is entering a new chapter with the arrival of my new partner, Muhannad Diaa, who brings extensive experience in business and information technology.

It's an opportunity to bring together different perspectives and explore new possibilities for the company.

I'm looking forward to what we can build together, while staying close to the curiosity and creative thinking that started this journey.

Still Curious?

Today, I continue to lead the creative direction at Shiraa Studio, developing concepts, working closely with clients, and collaborating with talented people to turn ideas into finished work.

After all these years, I still enjoy the early moments of a project the most  when there’s nothing yet but a conversation, a few thoughts, and the possibility of creating something new.

I SEE WHAT OTHERS MISS.

THE CAMERA IS JUST THE BEGINNING.

SOME STORIES DESERVE MORE THAN WORDS.
